Commentaar:
Great tyre, it's a Dunlopp clone in every aspect, best value for money I could get so far. Plusses : a) I drove 50.000KM (!) with a sportive drivestyle, switched front and rear tyres a couple of times for more equal use, front-ride high-powered TDI car's like this tend to double the wear on frontyres if you don't switch. b) Very strong tyre, drove onto broken glass lying on the streets lot's and lot's of times due to working in crowded outgoing-area's where people party, but no flat tyres. c) The sound inside the car is relatively quiet, for a 18 incher I expected a lot more sound. If the street is in good condition with no bumps, holes and normal asfalt, it's actually very silent. d) handling on dry condition is very good and responsive. Minusses: a) Grip in snowy and to a lesser content wet conditions is not the speciality of this tyre, but what summer-tyre is? It's average in rain, but my car is not the most sportive chassis made for driving fast in wet conditions, so it's not completeley the tyre's fault. In short, the Sumitomo was such a nice and pleasant surpriser for it's realitively low price (110 euro's per tyre) that I just decided to buy another 4 after the 50.000 I just drove with the previous ones. And there's a good chance if these perform just as well I'll get another 4 new ones next year.
